TYLER TECHNOLOGIES
KINGSTON SPRINGS, TN
Tyler Technologies’ newest facility is developed in Kingston Springs, TN. The history of Kingston Springs was heavily dependent on sulfur mineral springs. The design team took inspiration from black, white, and red sulfur to influence a modern palette for the building both inside and out. The site was carefully designed to incorporate the logistics of transporting large materials in and out of the 14,000 sf warehouse while keeping the new office space front and center of the new facility. The warehouse features dedicated space for assembly, service, and storage while the office space includes conference space, private office, and open office area. The heart of the facility is an expansive indoor/outdoor kitchen between the warehouse and office spaces.
The warehouse is a bold, black mass at the back of the site. As the building gets closer to the street, it is refined down to human scale with warmer touches drawing from the process of metalworking. Harpeth River, historical to both Kingston Springs and Tyler tech’s enterprise, is etched into the Corten signage wall at the entry. Corten fins shade the office wing’s larger glazed openings while wooden soffit warms the metal overhang.
The interior palette is sympathetic to the exterior. Clean white office space is accented by wood furnishings and cabinetry with white, black, and copper detailing. These blend with warm copper and raw black steel finishes in the kitchen island, railing, and light fixtures. Stained concrete floors and steel are featured heavily to blend the rugged metalwork with a clean office environment.
